NCH sees Nepal's
problems as a big rock. To break this rock and
develop better ways for future generations, it is
essential to work with other people and
organizations. Therefore, NCH continues to work with
different social organizations and is willing to
partner with any others. We encourage you to contact
us if you are interested in getting involved with
any of our programs below.

Orphanage |
|
Over 92 children are living in our two
rented homes called Namaste Children's House and Onni Children’s
House, located in Lakeside and Damside, Pokhara, respectively. Their
ages vary from 18 months to 18 years, all arriving over the last six
years from various and unfortunate backgrounds. All of our children
are empowered and embraced by our loving and caring “family”.

Scholarship |
Over 120 children from poor families
or from single-parent households are given supervised educational
support under this program, i.e., school uniforms, educational
materials, school bags, medical treatment, tuition fees, pocket
money, and two sets of extra clothes.
Our goal is to support an additional 25–30 children per year.

Women Empowerment |
|
This centre is designed to empower
single women by training them to make various handicrafts. These
women would otherwise be social outcasts due to divorce, abuse, and
abandonment. By being taught such skills, the women, along with
their children, are given a second chance. They are provided with
room and board and education. Presently, we are focused on producing
various leather, suede, and fabric items. For more details, please

Micro Credit |
This project aims to promote
entrepreneurship not only by providing micro business loans but by
providing guidance as well.
Once accepted into the program, each family has the opportunity to
start a micro business, which could be buffalo or goat farming,
opening a tea shop, being a street vendor, or owning a vegetable or
sewing shop. We not only hope to increase our present loaning
capabilities to currently supported families but to extend the
program to our older children, should they decide not to go to
college.

Volunteer Opportunity |
|
Namaste Children House, Pokhara Nepal
welcomes all volunteers from different parts of world. In the last
three years, over 40 volunteers from various part of world have
worked for Namaste and contributed a lot towards the children and
growth of the entire Namaste Children House Organization. Volunteers
can be great role-models in enhancing a safe and happy atmosphere
for our children. Our understanding is that first and foremost you
are a volunteer for the children; the main focus of volunteers is to
be involved mainly in the children's needs and well-being for a
happy future. more |
