| [02 Jan 08] :: Japanese Ambassador at Namaste Children House |
 2nd January 2008, the honorable Ambassador of Japan TATSUO MIZUNO with his four friends visited Namaste Children House, Lakeside Pokhara. During his 2 days Pokhara visit, he showed deep concern to meet the children staying with us and the ongoing programs. We all Namaste family were pleased to welcome him with his friends at our orphanage. He provided special Japanese food to our children brought from Japan and made a kind donation to us.
We would like to thank him and all his friends for their concern and love for us from so far away. |
| [24 Mar 07] :: Appreciating Women … An Event for Everyone! |
 This March 8th marked the 92nd anniversary of International Women's Day, which is celebrated all over the world. Namaste Children House, an affiliate of many progressive community projects, was eager to participate in the events of the day and brought children, staff, and volunteers to a women’s rights march and rally. There were over 200 participants who were spreading awareness about the plights of women in Nepal and calling out for action from the community and also from legislators. At the rally, six women from the community were given awards for their achievements in working for women’s rights.

| [23 Mar 07] :: Sagar Ranabhat has joined us!!! |
 Sagar recently joined the Namaste family at the beginning of February 2007. He was part of the scholarship program but due to unfortunate circumstances, he was brought to Namaste Children House. He is a very happy boy and has seemed to settle in quite well. Sagar has just started his new school, Tal Barahi Secondary School. Before hand Sagar was washing buses for money to get him by, now he can enjoy his childhood and continue his education.
Since Sagar has joined he has tried to make his own group of friends, it can be quite hard when everyone knows each other so well. But because of the loving hearts of the children, Sagar has been a great addition to NCH family. | [23 Mar 07] :: A promotional visit to Europe... |
| Usually promotional tasks are done throughout the year. But we thought it would be more effective to visit the donors in their own country, to find probable donors and supporters all over the world. Because of this the executive director of Namaste Children House made up his mind to visit their countries, provide child updates and also organize a program to promote Namaste Children's House. On the 26th November, 2006 Visma flew from Kathmandu to visit the Isle of Man, British Isles, England, Germany and Switzerland in search of funds to run the ongoing programs, as well as in search of child sponsors and to establish new contacts with the good people abroad.
