Our Scholarship Program was developed as a result of our work in the field. When we went into the field to find out more about applicants to NCH, we often found that though the child was orphaned or abandoned, they were still living in a loving, supportive environment with a neighbor or older family member. Unfortunately, many of these children are still without the resources to attend school. As it has never been our goal to separate families or further harm children by removing them from a loving atmosphere, we believe that the solution is to support children academically.

This program is designed to help children get an education, which is their right here in Nepal. We help children in getting admitted to school and their scholarship covers tuition and school fees, books and stationery, two sets of school and play clothes, two sets of shoes and a bag. It provides for Tiffin/snack and basic medical support. We believe that, because our children will be our future leaders, education is the basis of true development
